Wednesday 3rd January - walk *** – Around Felixstowe – Sunshine and
showers.
Wow what a full-on day, I had hoped to go windsurf foiling today so when
the day started sunny I decided to have a ride around Felixstowe to see if
Storm Henks 65 knot winds had caued any damage, the only thing I spotted
was a fence down in our road! I drove along Gulpher Road but saw no fallen
trees just some pretty wet fields ending up at Felixstowe Ferry I got some
nice pics with the River Deben low and the sky blue:) Home for breakfast
and to send some to the local TV weather, sadly none were used, they
don’t seem to be using many our their reports at the moment:( Sadly the
wind did not look promising but with the weather turning colder I decided
to drive over to Levington Marina to check out the conditions, sadly not
windy enough but got a few pics of the yellow Harwich foot ferry sheltering
from last nights storm. Home to do my exercises as the rain arrived. That
cleared so I packed a picnic and we set off on our daily walk ending up
doing over 3 miles:) Up to the town and down to Felixstowe prom just past
Harvest house, it was a bit busy for us as we ambled towards the pier where
we stopped for a late lunch, I had taken a crust to feed the pigoens and
gulls before continuing through Langer park, a quick trip around Lidl and
home for a cuppa! Top day!
